JD looked both ways before putting the plate of food down on the small patio area of the condo. If Buck caught him he was dead, the man had been emphatic about no pets.

The small orange tabby kitten raced over and wolfed down its meal.

JD picked up the plate and quickly turned to go back in, nearly falling as he collided with his roommate. JD smirked at the plate of cat food in Buck's hand.

The kitten looked from one to the other and walked past them into her new home.
